UPDATE 3/3/06 - 8:00AM
We have decided the fairest avenue for those with out a start time is to use the start time calculation for everyone. Please see our last update for an explanation of our calculation. We understand the chip times will not be exact to what you caught on your watch. This is a way to reach everyone affected and post a chip time based on your fastest split pace. As per our note below, we will continue to receive manual adjustments if the calculation is not acceptable. We will only change those who give us your start offset which is the time it took you to reach the start line after the horn. You can reach us here: Freescale Results
Attention Boston Qualifiers: Results have been submitted to the Boston Marathon. If your adjusted time still does not show a legitimate Boston qualifying time, please email us here – FS BQEMAIL
UPDATE 2/27/06 - 2:15 AM
In an effort to expedite our adjusted chip times for the Marathon and Half Marathon, we have done the following:
1. Calculated your 1st 10K time based on your best split pace. i.e. if your best split pace was from the halfway mark to the 30K, we applied that pace to your 1st 10k split.
2. We used the difference between your new 10K split time and your Gun Time 10K Split to find your start time.
3. Applied your new start time to your race which gives you a chip time shown on this link –
4. Your new posted chip time may vary from your watch time; however, we tried to be as fair as possible by assigning start times based on your fastest split pace.
We are continuing to make more specific adjustments from the emails received during the week.
Attention Boston Qualifiers: We will be sending our results to the Boston Marathon early this next week. If your adjusted time still does not show a legitimate Boston qualifying time, please email us here – FS BQEMAIL no later than Tuesday at 12pm CST.
To contact us regarding your chip time please do so at these emails: Marathon Half Marathon
We appreciate your cooperation with us in trying to rectify our mistake.
UPDATE 2/25/06 - 7:25PM - Updated Half Marathon Results posted through emails Tuesday 11AM.
UPDATE 2/25/06 12:35AM - I'm through Marathon emails Tuesday 10:59AM. Reminder to BQ's, plse see note below for email.
UPDATE 2/23/06 10:27AM - I am on emails through Tuesday at 9:12AM. If you are a Marathoner and and emailed me before then and still are NOT corrected, you can let me know HERE. If you are a Half Marathoner, we are still working on Monday's emails.
If you are a BOSTON qualifier, please use this EMAIL. Again, we are only authorizing those changes that correlate to your pace from 10k to the finish. For example, if you average 9:30 from 10k to the finish, we will not adjust a chip time that shows a pace of 7:30 for the 1st 10k.
I will post updates here daily. And again, thank you for your patience and support.
To Freescale Participants:
RunFAR Racing Services, Inc was responsible for the timing and scoring of the 2006 Freescale Marathon and Half Marathon. At the start of the race, we misdiagnosed an interference problem and failed to review how our staff set up the digital antenna controllers. As a result, we missed half of the participants at the start line. We regret to inform you of this mistake and we are truly apologetic for the mishap.
We are able to do manual inserts of participants start offset or the time it took for you to get to the start line after the horn was sounded. If you know your start offset time you may contact us to adjust your chip time. If you have already contacted us with your start time, please do not re-email as we are working to adjust your chip time. (NOTE: We will only authorize those start times with comparable paces between the 1st 10k and each other split throughout the course.)
Please contact us via email: Full Marathon Half Marathon
We appreciate your attention to this matter and thank you for you patience. At RunFAR, our goal is to take the best care of our customers as possible. If you have any other questions or comments you may reach our office at 512-326-1600.
